The photovoltaic market is one of the most rapidly expanding markets in recent years. The aimof the project was the analysis of the industrial feasibility of a domestic manufacturer for the lowcost production of photovoltaic curtain walls for the construction market. The choice fell to theproduction technologies of thin film photovoltaic modules and in particular thin film in amorphoussilicon.This technology, already industrialized, allows for lower production costs than the production ofmodules in mono/polycrystalline silicon (today the most widespread on the market) and offersadvantages over other thin film technologies.

The time horizon for investment evaluation considers a period of analytical forecast up to 2015,with annual cash flows and a period of synthetic forecast beyond 2015 with a terminal value (TV).The Discounted Cash Flow valuation method was used which involved the analysis of three steps:determination of the cash flows, calculation of the discount rate (WACC), calculation of theterminal value.
